The Challenge
By 2030, 300 million families will need a dignified place to live in. However, existing construction processes are often pollutive, carbon emitting and rely on non renewable resources. Concurrently, there are thousands of African women and girls currently living below the poverty line in landfills. Kubik has found a way to address both these challenges.
The Innovation
Recycle plastic waste into low-carbon buildings by holistically engaging female waste pickers.

"Every conversation with Gather starts with a "how are you?" and "how can we help?". It's rare to have an investor care so much about supporting you to change the lives of others. Gather is one of those rare ones. Gather is not only there to cheer you on; they are there to pick you up when you fall too.
Building a startup is super tough, but building a venture that is on a mission to empower women AND heal our planet is a daunting journey. Gather gets it, and has tailored their support to founders just like me.”
